Welcome from the Principal

As a proud graduate of Lampasas High School, I feel truly privileged to serve the community that helped shape who I am today. The 2025–2026 school year marks my 25th year in education and my 17th year with Lampasas ISD—all of them at Hanna Springs Elementary. I am honored and overjoyed to continue serving as the principal of this incredible school.
Lampasas ISD has played a meaningful role not only in my life but also in the lives of my children. My daughter, Kaitlyn (21), is a Lampasas High School graduate, and my son, Braxton (18), is currently a senior at LHS. Watching them thrive in this district has only deepened my commitment to the students and families we serve.
My journey in education began at Baylor University, where I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education in 2001. While teaching, I pursued and completed my M.S.E. in Guidance and Counseling in 2003. After four and a half years in the classroom and another four and a half years as a K–12 counselor, I earned my Principal Certification. I served as the assistant principal at Hanna Springs for nine years and am proud to be entering my seventh year as principal. Even after 25 years, I can truly say—I still love what I do every single day!
Hanna Springs is more than just a school—it’s a family. Our students, staff, and parents work together with passion, purpose, and heart. Our school mission is simple but powerful: Lead with Love, Learn as a Family, and Empower Everyone. As a Leader in Me campus, we are committed to fostering leadership in every student and adult who walks through our doors.
Thank you for being part of our Hanna Springs family. I look forward to an incredible year of learning, growing, and leading—together.

Warmly,

Lindsay Duhon
